About
Built by a player.
MatchUp is a platform for racket-sport communities — built by someone tired of paper brackets and rating arguments.
01
Why MatchUp
Racket-sport communities are everywhere. But there's almost no software built to help them. Tournaments live in spreadsheets and group chats. Ratings are guesses defended in DMs. Quick games between strangers either don't happen or fall apart at the door.
Every player has a story like this: a match that never got scored. A tournament bracket that quietly fell apart. A rating that never caught up to how they actually play. MatchUp is the app that's missing — one place to find an opponent, settle the score honestly, run a clean tournament, and watch a real rating move as you play.
“Paper brackets and DM rating debates aren’t a community problem. They’re a tooling problem.”
02
The promise
01
Honest ratings
Weekly updates, streak bonuses, no opaque math. If you play, you climb.
02
Fair disputes
Counter-claim, evidence upload, moderator review. The argument leaves the group chat and gets resolved by someone neutral.
03
Multi-sport, one identity
Pickleball, tennis, badminton, table tennis — separate ratings, one profile, one community of opponents.
04
Club-friendly
Run tournaments, manage staff, broadcast announcements from any browser. Players keep their app; clubs get the back office.
